Specifications

Texicon specifications and our main brochure are available directly from this web site.

They can be downloaded to your computer as Adobe® Acrobat® documents (.pdf file extension). Acrobat will let you read and print out the specification, regardless of the computer you're using. All you need is the Acrobat 3.0 (or later) Reader.

A note about browsers: Most browsers are preconfigured to open a new window automatically and display the specification in a new browser window. Then you can print the specification from that window. Other browsers do not have this feature. Instead they will download the specification, but not automatically open it. In that case the specification file will appear in the bar across the bottom of your screen. If you double click on it, the specification will open for you. If it doesn't open, you need to download the Acrobat Reader. (Instructions are at the bottom of this screen.) Acrobat Reader is a free download.

Downloading Acrobat
The only component of Acrobat you need is the Acrobat Reader, which is available, free of charge, from Adobe Systems. Getting the reader takes only a few minutes, and you'll find it useful for reading other documents on the Web, as Acrobat is the most common way of preparing documents for transmission.

To get the reader, go to the Adobe web site. On their home page is a yellow button you can click on to download the Reader. It's free. All you have to do is fill out the on line registration and select your computer's operating system. Adobe provides installation instructions with each Reader.

The latest version of the Reader even allows you to view the documents right in the main window of Internet Explorer or Netscape. You can print out the specification without ever leaving your browser. If this feature does not work with your browser or if you've chosen to turn it off, clicking on the link for the specification will result in an immediate download of the specification. None of the specifications should take more than a minute to download.

Important note: If you view the specification in a browser, you need to tell your computer to save it in order to keep a copy of the file on your computer. When you save it, save it as a "source" document, not a "text" document.
